How to change the language on Windows Vista?

I do not know how to boot to recovery options on an Asus computer, especially when you are unable to give us the correct model name and / or number.

The OS (operating system) is irrelevant now and has nothing to do with finding the correct model of the computer. The model and serial numbers of a laptop can usually be found on a sticker at the bottom of laptop, sometimes they can be hidden underneath the battery. These must not be mixed with Windows product keys found on similar stickers. WIndows (OS) key is not the same as computer make and model name or number.

That seems not correct, not an Asus model name or number, at least searching it on Google gives no clear results.

We could try this:
  • Download and install Belarc Advisor, it's free: Belarc Advisor
  • Run Belarc, it creates a report and opens it in your default browser
  • Top of the report page, on right, you will see the information we need to find out your Asus model (see screenshot below)
  • Post that information here, I will then try to find recovery instructions for that Asus model

What kind of a question is that: Why wasnt this posted earlier?

It wasn't posted because you couldn't give us the correct model number for you computer. Once you did I was then able to find the manual that had these instructions in it.

And yes, the middle one is the correct one to use.

Post #9, quite beginning in this thread, I told you to do a factory recovery using the recovery options of your laptop:

I am not saying your Vista was pirated. What I am saying is that by applying an unofficial language change, it became pirated. Your OS does absolutely not support display language changes.

For factory reset it's irrelevant what language your Windows is. If you have created the recovery DVD disks, simply boot the laptop with disk #1 and follow on-screen instructions, or if you have the original recovery partition intact you can select to boot from that partition to launch the factory recovery. The language of the recovery is either English, or possibly Swedish if you bought it in Sweden.

All laptops have different ways to boot to recovery partition. For instance most HP laptops boot to recovery when F11 is pressed directly after turning the PC on when boot / boot to BIOS options are shown.

Kari

As at that point we didn't know the make and model of your laptop I told that for instance on HP laptops it's done by pressing F11 during boot.

All information was told to you, that is all information possible to tell without knowing which laptop you had.

Quite an arrogant post from someone coming here to ask help to other members who have done everything possible to assist you.
