Hello, I have a HP pavilion laptop(will list specs last) that i have had very good service. After several years of use the LCD cable started breaking from years of opening and closing the notebook. I ordered a new cable, but while i waited several weeks for its arrival, i disconnected the monitor and used an external monitor. When i made the repair and put the pc back together the webcam wouldnt work.
Before the broken cable occured when i used webcam ...i had no microphone...after the cable repair i have no webcam but i have microphone.
Ive tried reinstalling drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling. took pc apart to make sure internal connections were connected. Im completely current on my updates. I even bought an external webcam so when i need webcam I'll have it. any help is appreciated.
