Are you going to be gaming?? If so DON'T I say DON'T get the 8400GS. What a sad excuse for a graphics card.

Get an 8800GT or 9800GT, they are dirt cheap anymore.

Have you taken a look at the Extreme Audio instead of the Gamer model? The Optical in and out may be a useful addition if you plan on hooking the PC up to a stereo receiver home theater system. Just a thought.

yes, the 8400 is terrible.. the 8600 is terrible also. the 9600GS, or GT is better.

basically the original best, very popular card from nvidia was the 8800GT.. and the GTS was slightly better, if you can find one, get it. Otherwise the 9800GT is the same card, same card, with a different name. the GTX is slightly better, and the 9800GTX+ is just a new processor fabrication on it.

I'd get either an 8800GT, or a 9600GT(GS)
