What if your signal is weaker than the house next door?
If you were on cable I would say no problem, But how will you know the network your computer found was yours?

Is there an option in the ISP program to automatically connect to the network?

i would like it to open on where ever i was when i put it to sleep.and connecting to isp,all by itself.

On your power icon click and go to more power options
At the top is require a password on wake up

opened lid,returned to where i was when i closed the lid,when i click to make this post,my connection issue looms..........

dial up window prompted me to connect,with a connect automatically tick box.connection was quicker than usual,and down to one click,excellent.

i really like the fact that when i close the lid,the machine is set to turn off.
why can not it do the opposite,as in turn on,load windows and connect to the internet??when the lid is opened.

Surely this is a manufacturers question?

i think it great,the compromise is that this is being done in sleep mode.what i really wanted to accomplish was ease of use.when you close it it shuts down.when you open it you go to desktop or home tabs whilst also connecting to isp....
