Solved Laptop to Plasma using HDMI cable...But I can't get sound?!?

I installed the listed Chipset and NVIDIA drivers that were listed for me for my computer.

Un-installed my Nvidia graphics chip and did the same for the for the Nvidia High Definition Audio Codec and the High Definition Audio Device. Restarted my laptop which automatically installed the new drivers that I had downloaded. Plugged my laptop into the HDMI cable, went into sounds and clicked on the new HDMI digital output device that was listed, set it as default and I than had sound coming out of my TV.

Anyone have any suggestions on a program to use to watch movies. When I open a movie it acutomatically opens with media player and I didnt know if there were any good downloads for viewing movies. Like right now when I open one in media player it gives me a letter box picture...something that will show it in full screen would be great!!!

I tend to use VLC player (mainly because its the only player that i know of that supports 7.1 surround) but it's rather stupid the way it's set up, windows media player is ok, but you need to double click the video to full screen it, hope this helps.

Oh yes I know to double click the movie to full screen it dear lol ;) Im not sure if the some of the movies are just in letter box from download or not but when I full screened one last night it was letter box, but its fine we dealt with it, its not really a big deal at all....And I did download VLC player lastnight and use it to watch a movie!
