Hello.
Here is my issue: I'm missing my Conexant playback device. I have an HP Pavillion 2610us notebook which is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit OS. All of a sudden, I've lost all sounds, but iTunes, Pandora and other programs seems to be working well and continue to play tracks. After checking my control panel, I've noticed that my Conexant is missing. However, there is still the Speakers: Bluetooth Hands Free Audio and Bluetooth Stereo Audio in my Device Manager. I've tried the following steps:
1. Ran HP Recovery Manager to re-install original audio drivers. However, "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the device for this driver" appeared and was unsuccessful.
2. I've downloaded and attempted to install the Conexant driver, sp37858, specific for this notebook, from the HP website. Still, "Driver Installation Failed: could not find the device for this driver."
These were all ran as administrator. Any useful suggestions?
