Thank you for your feedback.
Computer terminology can confuse!!

I totally agree with Richc's advice & option for you.

```it will be easier to understand yet achieve the same end.
If the instructions that I gave (which is the best way to update drivers) is not appropriate for you, try it this way:
Driver Install - Device Manager - Windows 7 Forums
Applicable for Vista and Seven.
The best way for you, then, is to try the above.
with these instrustions i get stuck on step 2, there is no option for "device manager" this is what i see:
Try the windows update.
Make sure it is set to download drivers
Windows Update Settings - Change - Windows 7 Forums
Applicable to Seven and Vista.
Then read this aritcle
Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly
i changed the setting so that i could manually update drivers but it still doesnt let me right click or anything. i tried to do a windows update but i get this error each time i try: http://i52.tinypic.com/2je7ofs.jpg
ive already tried to follow the directions to fix the error but nothing was set differently than the directions told me.
Elizabeth,
If I only assume that you are following instructions carefully, I must come to the conclusion that you have more problems than you realize.
Follow these instructions,
It will find and solve some of the problems.
If errors are found run three times and then let us know.
We will tell you how to send the report to us.
Also the file I gave you is a zip file, you have to right click and extract it first then run the setup.exe by double clicking or right click and run as administrator.
Do the sfc scan first as Richc46 has said.
okay i did the scan once and errors were found. it said they were removed and to restart the computer. since you said to do it 3 times i tried it again but it said there was a repair pending and that i needed to reboot then to run it again. but i restarted twice and it still says this.so i cant follow any of the other steps or it says this.
Could you go to c,windows,logs.cbs and right click cbs and send to compressed(zip)folder
On your next post click on the paperclip and browse to the zip folder and click upload,
close the box when it has finished.
if i were to just to the total factory reset of my computer do you think its likely the problems will go away?i have done it once before to fix a virus so i can do it again if you think it will fix it instead of going through all these steps to figure out what is wrong with it. i can save all my documents on a flash drive or do the reset that keeps your files..
