Maximizing Video Performance

I had the videos running really well and then I downloaded the Registry Defrag app. recommended in the tutorial. After I ran the reg. defrag the problem returned. I did a system restore and it seemed to help, but videos are still slow. When you do a system restore it does restore your registry to it's previous condition does it not?

Samething happened to me while I watch any HD youtube videos, I resolved that by setting my virtual memory to 1 1/2 the size of my RAM and keeping initial and maximum same size. I don't know this will help you but worth a try.

I have 3 GB RAM so at 1024 MB per GB that would be 3072 divided by 1/2 = 1536 + 3072 = 4608. Does that sound right to you?

I ran a YouTube video which stalled, changed the virtual memory settings as stated and the video ran smoothly. Now I've had some stalling problems since, but I think these are definitely due to YouTube, as some will run perfectly one time then the next, I'll have to wait for the buffer to get a bit ahead. The performance is much improved though and I think the remaining glitches are server related. Thanks. I've left positive feedback for you.
