music files are replicating???

This also happened with my old win XP OS, on another computer, before it died.

And now I see that it is happening again, with windows media player, on this newer machine.

All my music files have replicated themselves... does anyone know why?

In the Media player interface, or in the Windows explorer view?

Do you have a decent Anti-Virus installed, and an Anti-Malware application?

They are replicating in my media library.

I am using MSE antivirus daily, and I have Spybot search & destroy for malware removal. Thank you for your support.

I thought the media library only had shortcuts to the music files.
Are they the files or shortcuts? Can you see the size of the files
I don't use the library (only my file system) so don't know if you can check file size with the properties box
