Network crashing while using Linksys

Hello,
I have a Linksys WRT54G2 V1 wireless router. Lately it has been failing without reason. When it fails I will lose wifi and other devices can't connect on the LAN. Also when it fails I can't access it through the web browser either. I have connected am using a static IP from my ISP and have my PC xbox and Sprint Airvana.
It seems like when it fails the only thing connected is the airvana(which is also assigned a static IP and placed in the DMZ), the airvana works all the time. It sounds like a router issue its I'm worried the Airvana is the cause. Can this happen?
Also I have tried to just disconnect the airvana when the issues is present but the network is still down. The only way to bring it back is to power cycle the router.
