I finished last session with Jacee’s recommendations, then immediataly:-
SpywareBlaster
PC Speed Maximizer

SUPERAntiSpyware
Malwarebytes -Anti-Malware
BT/McAfee Security Scanning
All full scans.

Through yesterday (as I am GMT, it is 3.30am in UK) I ran the Defraggler. [‘m a night owl]
Also constant use of CCleaner and lots of re-boots.
SCANS ALL CLEAN AND CLEAR. Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!

Now back to the ‘Driver’ Downloads;- Do you want me to put this in new thread or carry on in existing?
Device Manager :-- Check for driver updates.

Search online= it downloaded new driver. Previously unsuccessful on 7/8 occasions.



Attempted to download Guru 3d: As you suggested,- The following 'Error Messaage'

Unable to execute file:C:Program Files\Phyxxion.net\Driver Sweeper\Driver Sweeper.exe
Create `process Failed: Code 740
Requests Operational ...s/thing.. Elevation

Attempted before/after fix.

Nope, that don;t work either.

Process:- Driver Sweeper updates found'
Window:- will reboot now . ok button.
Driver Sweeper Stopped Working.
2 Choices : - 1/Close Prog. 2/ Check online

Checked online:-
Screen black for a second
Screen splits into two horizontally
Screen flashes into Safe Mode for a second
Reverts back to normal screen, tries to download install, gives up.
The End.

I use CCleaner & reboot.

I don't mind not having the program, gosh knows i've downloaded a few<> in the last 2 days'
I am somewhat of a perfectionist, and like to know 'if not, why not'.
I'm sure you understand Rich?

Run elevated and code 740 (just looked up 740,now) means run as adminstrator.
Lets try this, before I end for the night. Try the "Real" adminstrator and see what happens.

Sorry I was too tired last night to focus properly on the task in hand.
However, today completed the move for that program into 'Real' Administrator, and it worked, thank you.

I guess, if you think about it, a program such as that, dealing with the inner workings of the drivers would have to be made to the ultimate Administrator.
OTHERWISE in Standard admin, if access was gained could wipe the whole computer clean.
