Overheating

I'm just worried that if I replace the graphics card, something else could go wrong! Seriously regretting buying it :(

fisrt it should be off while you are fiddling around insudes it. a graphics card isnt that difficult to remove. I dont know where the wire is attached/disconnected but its got to be better than the possible alternatives. If you want to try and get a picture of it uploaded i might be able to give you some help.

there is no mention of your gpu temp there , can you not do us a screenshot of the monitoring software after some heavy usage???

then 8800gs has a feed from the psu a 6 pin pci\e power connector the fan speed is regulated from a controller built into the board and controlled by the divers or a third party app

the temps from your bios are no good to us , download the app i linked to run it and take a screenie (print screen)

Could you please reccommend some monitoring software? I just went into the PC BIOS.
It appears that if i poke the PCI\E wiring even slightly, the monitor turns itself off... requiring a restart, so I'm nolonger very sure if it is a overheating issue

its not overheating with those temps its a loose wire. you might be able to wrap insulation around it to prevent it from arcing but be CAREFUL. only poke around with the power off and the plug disconnected.
