Solved PC freezes when starting in Safe Mode

I MIGHT have jumped the gun since I forgot my PC is still slowish.

I just downloaded Panda Antivirus and will run it now hoping things will improve a little.

If your only problem is slowness, try the clean boot again. That really should work. If you have a good speed in clean boot, put the services back one at a time, until it slows down, that service would be the cause.
