You haven't actually described the problem yet.

If you can list the symptoms in detail, someone might be able to help. What do you see? When? Where? What are the exact error messages? Do you know of any way to reproduce it? What have you tried? ... that sort of thing.

I have NOTHING plugged into usb, no self installed software running and this is a 3 month old machine. The only thing plugged in (through ethernet) Is my vonage V-Portal wich I use for voip
Try temporarily unplugging this. Does it make any difference to your problem? If it does, then check the website for any updated drivers, and also check their forums to see if anyone else has the same or a similar problem.

Hi GreatNate,

What was the information that you sent to Symantec that led them to make the assumption that your Network Stack is being reset every couple of hours?

You may love Norton but Norton doesn't love you back. Norton is one of if not the biggest resource hog for security apps out there. Norton is pron to networking issues and hardware failures. I was a true an loyal Norton customer until symantec bought out Norton and filled it up with a bunch of bloatware that just eats up your system resources and slows down your system to a slow crawl. Once your get rid of it and get something free that does the same for less. You will notice a dramatic system speed increase. This is just my opinion.

I had also problems with Norton 360 on my computer. After removing it on advice from this forum, the problems were also gone (plus almost a full year of subscription updates  )
