Good evening, I have installed the Greek language for windows vista service pack 2 x86 32-bit as my system is, but it has not changed. It throws me the following error code for the windows update agent.

Vistalizator 2.75 appears to be a third-party tool that is 6 years old. Unfortunately I never used it - in fact I never attempted to change the language of any Windows installation. If Vistalizator relies on Windows Update, then it very likely won’t work on Vista in 2023. My guess is that nothing good happens if you click the link in the error message, is that correct? The ISO that wither 3 suggested probably included that Windows Update Agent, but I’m not sure. More bad news: There is no standalone installer for that version of Update Agent at Microsoft Update Catalog. I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can help you at all. :(

I wonder if he installed the Vista MUI language pack. Vistalizator won't work without it.

It can be found in Greenhillmaniac’s Windows Vista Update Repository (both x64 and x86 versions).

You are saying that Greenhillmaniac incorrectly labeled a 7.4 installer as a 7.6 installer at his repository? I’m not sure if that even matters, since Windows Update hasn’t worked for Vista since August 2020. I only mentioned it because your screenshot in post #1 shows a 6-year-old program urging you to install an 11-year-old version of Windows Update Agent that is no longer available from Microsoft. I’m sure that wither 3 would like to help you, so good luck! :)

Microsoft Update Agent 3.0 installs 7.6.7600.256 just fine.
Welcome back to this lonely Vista forum @Volume Z! :D:

I believe the OP installed Vista using a custom ISO recommended by wither 3 in a previous thread, and this ISO included all the updates up to Vista’s EOL including Update Agent 7.6.7600.256. I believe the difficulty is that the OP now wishes to install a language pack (Greek), which is better done before updating Windows because certain updates would have to be reinstalled, e.g. here’s a quote from the KB article about the Windows 7 version of Windows Update Agent:
Important: If you install a language pack after you install this update, you must reinstall this update. Therefore, we recommend that you install any language packs that you need before installing this update...
I don’t see any mention of Windows Vista at your link, but hopefully you know something that I don’t.

The Greek language pack was installed in post 1, sentence 1, so I’m afraid you did misunderstand his problem. I understood it, but have no idea how to solve it in the year 2023. Do you happen to have a copy of Ex Brits’ ISO lying around?

I think I have it but it doesn't have all the updates.

If it's installed, I wonder if he would update us in regards to the status of the problem, good or bad.

That is precisely why it might be better for someone who wants to install a language pack! It’s not like oodles of patches from previous decades will make Vista a secure OS in 2023 anyway.
Important: If you install a language pack after you install this update, you must reinstall this update. Therefore, we recommend that you install any language packs that you need before installing this update.
Windows Update Agent is very likely not the only update that must be reinstalled: There might be several/many. Please read post #1 if you can find the time, including the screenshot that the OP provided.

This computer had a recovery partition where windows vista RTM SP0 Home Premium was installed. There I passed the Greek language, everything went well before I installed service pack 1 and then sp2. When I installed these two service packs above, the problems started and after I did all the updates from windows update.

Corruption of the recovery partition is very likely after 15 years, so run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt.

What problems? What method did you use to acquire “all the updates”? 🤔
