Problem with screen/possible graphics card?

One last possible silly question, after i download this package: NVIDIA - Download Drivers

is there anything else i have to do, after it finishes going through the steps it had? Do i have to do anything/start anything in the folder it created for it under my C:/ drive?? I just want to know if there are other steps to do or take or were the drivers already updated with running that .exe program/file i downloaded from their site for the drivers?

It depends, where did you download to?
If you saved to doucments or desktop, you still have to install.
If you installed
Go to search
type cmd
in cmd type driverquery and look for the driver
It should have a date later than the one that is in your dump report. The one in the report said Oct 09. If it is the same date go back to the website and make sure of the date of the most current. It may be the same. If its the same not good, just a bit more evidence that its the card. Its not definitive, however, as the old driver could be corrupted.

Well i put it on my desktop and just let it do what it had to do. It created a file under my c:\ drive and was wondering if i had to click the "setup.exe" file or so that it created or anything else thats in that folder(s) it created? I did the "cmd>driverquery" step and if the driver is called "nvlddmkm" the date next to it is Oct. 16, 2010. If thats not it, whats the name of the driver if its not what i just posted then?

If you haven't figured out how to use it yet, it d/ls a exe program and you just run it. It'll set it up and ask to reboot.
By your querry it looks like it is updated. If you check the device manager, the nvidia driver should all end in something like x.xx.12.6099

You should d/l hwmonitor from CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting and see how hot the video card gets.

I'm still leaning towards hardware, but a heat induced hardware issue. What commonly happens is as the cards heatup, you start to get expansion and causes seperations and then shorts.

I agree looks like hardware. Driver was the first step. OP was now told by both of us that it may not be the driver.
