I had been having a few problems recently with my system and had to do a clean boot and more or less solved it but now system restore isnt working. Iv already went back in to services and turned on the necessary things for it to work but still cant get it going. Keep getting error 0x80070032. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

People that write virus are very smart. They do not want you to make SR so that the virus can be removed.
Make sure this is not your problem
Make a full and upadated anti virus scan
Download and make a full updated scan with malwarebytes.

Take your time
The two scans if done properly, should take at least 90 minutes. Be sure to make it a full scan.

Thought I had the problem solved but just encountered another error while restoring. I went to services to double check task scheduler was running and right enough it was on automatic but wasnt started so I started it manually and proceeded with system restore. Just when I thought it was working got another error 0x8004230f, shadow copy provider had an unexpected error

regsvr32 /i swprv.dll

regsvr32 es.dll

regsvr32 vssui.dll
regsvr32 msxml.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll

Hello!

Really glad that you found a fix. This is for future users.

The above fix is perfect for Vista, and worth trying. The fix at the bottom of that above thread, Vista Ultimate - Cannot Create System Restore Point - Error 0x800423F - Microsoft Answers

about subinacl is for Windows XP only. Following that will harm your Vista in the future in an unrecoverable way. Permissions are not meant to be changed like this in Vista.
