RAM Won`t work like it did

Well, my Memory RAM doesn`t work like it used to..
Later on, my Memory RAM Score was like 5,9 on RAM and now it is 4,8 after i formatted my computer. I`m sometimes experiencing some slowdowns, like i type a entire word, and after 3 seconds it shows up. Or i scroll down, and after like 4 , 5 seconds the page shows up..

OBS: The Paging file is managed by the System ( I Used to let it on 4 mb )

-And can someone give me that topic that Brink made to tweak performance?
That All-In-One Tutorial topic...
-And how do i tweak my Memory RAM, Processor and HD to hit its best performance?

Thanks,
Alex.

In your sys. specs you show 2 different kinds of ram. Did you add one of the sticks since the last test. Since they are not identical, they will run at the slowest sticks settings if I understand correctly. If you added the ram yourself, did you change any settings in the bios? How long since you reformatted? What tasks, if any, are running in the background? This might slow things down a bit, but shouldn't change the index score.

I am not an expert in this area and don't know that I can be of further assitance. It is entirely possible that no one that knows the answer has read this post yet. Patience is a virtue.

No, i havent added it since i could lose my warranty.
I didn`t changed any Bios Setting.
It has been 2 Days i think since i Reformatted.
Well, i closed every task i wasn`t using. like Firefox, etc to speed up the performance on the test, but it didn`t changed the grade.

Btw, is it normal for Firefox to cost me 110 MB of RAM?
I`m not running any game, already closed Firefox and everything, and i have 40% of Memory RAM Usage... Is it normal?

Thanks,
Alex.

If Im coorect in my thinking the Index also takes into account how your computer is set up, Im able to improve my graphics index score by turning off aero, same should be with RAM, increase the paging file(making the paging file run on another drive will speed up the paging process), turn off all unneeded programs running, anything you can think of that will make your comp run faster.

The problem with the lag is something is eating up resourses, can you screen cap your task manager with the memory usage sorted so we can see what programs are using up your resources?

I just checked and firefix was using 100mb of my RAM

This is what mine looks like(maybe itll help to compare it to yours)

If Im right If youre not using Windows Aero DWM will go away(Windows Aero uses too much of my resources to justify having a pretty desktop, having more windows open=more RAM DWM uses), and I dont know why your svchost.exe is using so much memory, mine never goes above 25mb.

I know a lot of spyware programs and such uses the svchost name to disguise itself, but it might go down with Aero off, Im not sure...I have my comp down to bare minimum as far as looks go.

If youd like to completely turn DWM off go to "Services" and disable Desktop Window Manager Session Manager

The Allocation Unit Size informs a device of the expected size of a file so that the device may optimize buffer management.

Basically it tells the device how far ahead to read a file.

I did everything the way you said, but its still 4,8..
Does anybody know how to ``overclock or tweak`` a Memory RAM?
