Mine dosn't say Pictures it says Windows Photo Gallery

When you bring up the Screen Saver window then click on the Settings button you should have this window come up, tell us if you do.

When I put my screensaver on photo gallery it doesn't give me the option of shutting down. It just keeps going and then when I go to use it again, it takes quite a while for the screen to come back up. I have Vista. I also have a folder called pictures that has about 20 pictures and it works fine with that, but not the photo gallery. Can you help?

I didn't mean shutting down, just going black again and then when I touch the key it starts up again, that is what xp used to do. I am sure at this point it has something to do between the amount of pictures of gallery vs. pictures

I am sorry, I didn't know I switched forums. Maybe I hit post reply or quick reply and one of them was wrong. Let's hope this one isn't. Mine is exactly like that. Except I have a check in "shuffle".

So you have it set to show pictures from your Pictures folder then, as I have but I don't have the Shuffle button checked.

Do you have all your photo's stored in that folder ?

The photo's in the Photo Gallery should be the same ones that are in your Pictures folder so that shouldn't make a difference with the way the Screen Saver works.

How much time do you have set before the Screen Saver comes into play ?

I have all the same pictures inmy "pictures" folder that are in my gallery. I have it set for 10 minutes, for but for some reason it will not work.

Still not sure why your's wont work, but these are the windows that come up for me when setting the Screen Saver.
When you right an empty space on your desktop you then click on Personalize at the bottom of the window, then click on Screen Saver in the list on the next window and it brings up this one.



Then when clicking on the settings button it brings up this one.



Let me know if your's are any different, can't stop any longer but I'll be back later.

Another thoughts just come to me, have you had a look through the help when pressing the button at the bottom of the second picture, How do I customise my screen saver?

Because we don't know what machine you have, you haven't filled out your System Specs, we don't know if your machine is capable of running with some of the themes.
