Unable to format a DVD.

I fully understand what you have written. In my case I could before, click on a file and drop into the open blank DVD without burning it on DVD. This no longer happens, but then I was using Windows 7 at this time. I presume you are referring to Windows Vista.

I'm using Vista for this purpose. What are you using when you get the problems?

I was looking again at one of your posts and. to paraphrase, you said you could drag and drop a file onto a DVD without burning. That won't ever work.

At this stage, what is it that you want to do? I can provide a program to format your discs.

Well I can assure that I have many DVD-RWs full of software and photos that were saved using this method. I have to admit that since reverting back to Vista-64bit, I can not do this now. It will certainly be appreciated for your offer of a software to carry out format for my present needs, thank you.

I don't want to argue with you about it, but files have to be burned to a disc, regardless of whether it's a CD, DVD or Blu-ray. You can drag and drop files to a USB device like a thumb drive.

I have no entention of falling out with you or indeed anyone. Is software you kindly sent for DVD burning as it request you sign up for what I take is a form of "Cloud".

If I go to the link, this is what I see. If I highlight either of the links I circled, click on download file and fill in the security box, it downloads the .exe file that you can run.
