I have learned from having a ATI Radeon 200M Graphics Card with 128 MB Shared just like the Intel Integrated Graphics Card that playing onlines at times is very challenging. The Framerates seem to lag even playing old games like MechWarrior 4 online. Best suggestions would be to have a dedicated card with more memory, if you have a laptop...well you cant really improve on that.

You might not be on the highest setting, check your BIOS and see if you can turn up your shared memory for the Graphics Card.

Other than that there is nothing else you can do other than defrag your pc and run disk cleanup.

how helpful do you guys think it would be for me to upgrade to xp or windows 7?

From looking up Halo 2 for the PC...you cant run it on XP(its meant for Vista only). Upgrading to windows 7 is your decretion. I have the Windows 7 RC and im not to satisified with it. If you run the windows experience index...what is the rating? I am sure that your video card is the minimum that comes up(I know mine is). Anything above 3.5 should work fine for windows 7 and vista(mine is a 3.9 rating). Windows 7 might make your pc run faster but you would have to test that out. It didnt make mine any faster, actually a little slower.
