vista internet problem! PLEASE HELP!

Because chat doesn't work

here is waht you do.

Go to the sites listed and download the driver and net framework. burn them to a cd, or put them on a usb drive. bring the media to the computer without the internet and copy them to the desktop.

Install net framework, then the nic driver and install them.

reboot and it should be OK

Have you tried to network fixing tool.
Just right click on the little network thing by the clock.
You will see a dignose and repair option.

I nkow when I had trouble like you i reinstalled vista it worked.

I dont know whay you have driver dective, its not part of vista and is getting in the way.

You need to go to support.dell.com and download the network driver for your computer and 32 or 64bit

then if it still says you need net framework (which is already installed) I think you may have a problem.

lets try this

go to the computer without internet.

go to start>search>type cmd>run as admin>type sfc /scannow

let us know the results

go here Drivers & Downloads and download the driver for your network card.

once it is downloaded put it on something (dvd,cd,usb, or HD) so you can take it to the machine without internet. double click it to install

i didnt really get any help from u
but i really wanna thank u for helping me cause i no it was frusterating
i ended up calling dell and paid the $130, and everything is back to normal
