Vista won't start

When you go into the bios and change the boot order to boot from a dvd
Put in the dvd and restart and you will be asked press any key to boot from dvd
If you use a Vista install disc on the left hand side after it starts to boot is the option repair my computer this is on a screen that also says install Vista
Since you don't want to reinstall try the option repair my computer

Another option is to put Linux on a usb stick and boot with that then you could copy your files to an external drive to keep them safe
Then if you end up reinstalling you will at least have your files saved
When you get it working again use the drive to store image files on as backups
I use Macrium Reflect (a free program) to make a backup image twice a month and recovering my computer takes less than an hour with all my installed programs and tweeks saved

OK I would load Linux Mint or any other live cd onto a disc or usb and boot into that and recover my files.
You will need to reinstall after that as it is telling you it is not able to see any operating system

I tryed also MS Dart tools and Easy Recovery Essentials but they are unusable in that case because the comp restarts every time...

I have Macrium but I can't run it now.

Are you saying that you have an image created with Macrium when the system was in working order but no bootable Macrium Rescue CD to restore it with? In that case, if you have access to a working computer, install Macrium and burn a Rescue CD. Then boot the dysfunctional Vista PC from the CD. I seem to recall an old thread in which a forum member was offering ISO downloads of the Macrium Rescue CD, but a quick search didn't find it - and that too would require access to a working computer.

I have Macruim CD but the image is very old... On 5 years maybe, so...Too much data will be lost.
I need other optione.
Any program that can boot and find the problem where is?!
Also I have acsess to my OS true Mini XP by Falcon4ubcd. Can I find and run my "Last known good configuration" deleted files someway?

Last known good configuration settings are stored in the registry & I believe are deleted during the next boot up successful or not.

I tried also "MiniTool Partition Wizard Bootable CD" but it didn't help....

You will lose all programs you have installed after a re-install and just have Vista
