Yeah, that didn't do anything. (sorry for the late reply). I'm thinking that I'm missing something in the registry, because I remember watching a video on a fix, and I didn't have something that was there. I have to do some more research, and get more specific details, but do you know if there is a way to download parts for the registry. Sorry if I'm not making sense, I'm terrible with computers.

The main problem is that i can't install any msi's like steam, and a lot of other things.

Are you able to install Windows updates?

Which Windows Installer do you have- 3, 3.1, 4?

I have 4, and when i tried using windows update it said the service isn't running, but in services it says it is.
