I have tried extracting the file and I get this;
"C:\Windows\system32\wucltux.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."

However, I get that while I add in the wuauclt.exe file to replace the corrupted one.

I will see if I can do that, townsbg.
I'll keep you updated.

That repair will work, but check the limitations first, listed on the tutorial. It will work with only certian types od DVDs
Also, you need the same SP version.

The DVD I have that has SP2 seems like the system was burned onto a blank disk.
"Windows Vista Home Basic 36 bit" is written on it.
I am not sure if that will work?

Haha, this is a bit frustrating. :confused:

Edited:

Looks like another error popped up.
"C:\PROGRA~1\WI1F86~1\COMPAN~1\COMPAN~1.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:1241 IP:01 cf OP:ff ff ff 00 00 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

Everything seems to be working awesomely now but I'm currently on another computer since my laptop (the one that had the problem) now can't connect to the internet and it gives me a notice that says;

"This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured."

The laptop is a wireless computer and the connection is also wireless.

Anyway to fix this? :/
