Re: realtek network adapter update

I understand you want clear update history relate to exactly failed installed...I prefer to clear whole update history ...it is much simple. As far as I know update history is stored in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore

Stop for the moment Windows Update service ,delete folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and run again Windows Update

trouble with updating Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller -try from this site Realtek

Vista Driver and Auto Instalation program for Vista -the newest driver version is 6.225.0703.2009

Do you have still trouble with hotfixes for NET Framework or Windows Live?

Re: realtek network adapter update

hi pacinitaly,

You cannot delete the failed update history, but u can delete the entire update history by following flavious deleting software distribution method.

if you want those updates should never come back to u as available updates, u can hide those updates. By following this method.

click on available updates, right click on the update u want to hide and select hide.
It will never come back to u as available.

Re: realtek network adapter update

Flavius I've just had a look at the link for Realtek that you gave and it lists the version as 6.225.0720.2009 for Vista Auto Installation.

I've had the same problem with Windows Update the version I have installed is 6.223.0525.2009

For the time being I have the update hidden.

Some available updates HAVE been reoffered to me again & again. [ IE 8 & all of those Language Packs. ]
And yes, I had hidden them all immediately that they were offered - each time.
