cant install sp 1, windows update error 80070002

    cant install sp 1, windows update error 80070002

    not installing, getting an error. Ive done what it says to do HERE

    still not working.



    is there another way/place to download sp1 and install it?

    thanks for any insight you can offer on this issue...

    This is a common error, follow the instructions given in this thread, in the sequence given.
    SP2 fails error Code 80070002

    not sure what this means? what is that site? looks like spam to me. so I didn't click it.

    If it don't help find in folder C:\Windows\LOGS\CBS file CBS.log ->pack it and upload it on RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

    That is actually a safe website and is just a means to allow us to see the files.
    This is a much better procedure and safe

    Follow all other instructions and then post.
    BTW, very good, that you are careful and are not doing things that you are not comfortable with.
