Re: failed updates

Firstly try to run the Microsoft Fix it for windows update:

How do I reset Windows Update components?

Then restart the system and check. In case the same issue then try and scan your system for any possible infections.

Error: 0x80070005 when you try to install updates using Microsoft Update or Windows Update

Re: failed updates

Tried Mr Fix and about 20 other clean ups in the run window.
Still the same.
Thanks anyway, have to crash now, back tomorrow.

Re: failed updates

Please be patient whilst I go over your CheckSUR log - you have a lot of errors!

In the mean time, I would like you to run MGADiag for us please:

MGADiag

I would like you to make a MGADiag report for us please.

1. Download MGADiag (by Microsoft) from the link found below:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

2. Run the tool by double clicking on the file. Press Continue when prompted
3. When it has finished, press Copy then paste this into your next post

Re: failed updates

Hello TOM982,
I have done a MGADiag report.
When I run this MGADiag and press copy I get this pop-up answer on every "copy":
"Failed to create output files, hr=0x800706b5"
I send a jpeg image of the intended "copy" info.
Thanks for your effort.

Thanks for the MGADiag log, there's no problems there. I was just checking that the errors you're receiving weren't to do with activation problems

I would like you redownload the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and run it.

What is the System Update Readiness Tool?

Once it has completed, copy and paste the contents of the CheckSUR.persist.log for me please This log will be even longer than last time, so could you put

tags around it, to put it in a code box.
