am unable to log in normally so am in safe mode.

Two problems:

1. Microsoft ISA TAP Adapter#2
This device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code31)

2. NVIDA Graphics driver has stopped working properly.

Would any of the above be my problem and how do I resolve when in safe mode?

No particular error, sometimes I get to the log in page, the it freezes, sometimes I log in and it freezes soon after. Symptoms are slight blips in the screen just prior to the lock out.

Using the link I am at number 4, how do I :

4. Windows Explorer will open to your Documents folder. Zip up the entire Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON HTML file and attach the zip file to your post.

No problems! Have you managed to find that folder? Right click on it > Send to > Compressed (zipped) archive. That will create the zip file. Now, create a new post, use the paper clip icon at the top, navigate to the zip archive, and click the Upload button. Once the small window has reloaded, post!

Hmmm. Without knowing what I am really doing, random minidumps all point to Hardware, and artefacts on the screen. Hmmm. Graphics card?

No problem. I already asked to close the other one. As long as we have the link, we have access to the info. Merging would probably be better, but the mods can decide what to do.

Sorry for "talking behind your back" like that, but we both needed to catch up with information in the "other" thread and then review the information you provided. This is not how I would normally start, but as we've identified what seems to be a bonified problem, we should address that first to see if it does the trick. We'll deal with the other device problem in normal troubleshooting as we both believe the graphics card is the primary issue (but that's no guarantee - it could be one or both drivers or something else entirely or a combination of things - we still don't know enough to tell for certain). That you can use Safe Mode with Networking is a good sign though.

As a start, let's confirm and update the device driver, firmware, and/or software for your graphics card. It is done in Safe Mode with Networking essentially the same way you would do it in normal mode.

Go to Device Manager by going to start / search box and type device manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears. Check each device for a red x, yellow ! or white ?. These identify devices with problems (probably drivers, but also conflicts or something else). Click on each for further details and troubleshooting tips. If you need to get drivers, firmware, and/or software (and you should at least get whatever is applicable for your video card for now), do so from the computer vendor or device manufacturer (NOT from Microsoft Updates). Proceed as follows to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm. Once you have the drivers, you can install them through Device Manager as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

Then once done see if that helps. Let us know in any event. If that doesn't work, we may need to return to the procedures I outlined in the other thread to troubleshoot and try to find and resolve the underlying cause of the problem. It doesn't sound like you did them all (or even very many of them).

Try to go to Device manager,
look for any yellow wanrings that the graphics driver has problems. If you can in safe mode, be sure that the graphics driver is up to date.
