Any other option??

is there any other option to restore to system factory settings without using the system restore center and F11? Thanks

My Computer

As long as you have the factory restore disks, or the full version, or a set that you made then yes. Put disk one in your computer and reboot then just follow the on screen instructions...

The updates to windows are essential for keeping your computer & its components in 'top form', so to speak.
It is usually a coincidence when things go wrong during updates, it's not the updates themselves, it is more the component parts of your computer doing the work at the time, that goes faulty from time to time!

americancritic is handling this really, but as he is busy at the moment I would just like to ask a few questions:-
You have done a FULL AV SCAN , with what program > Norton? Found nothing much?
Did you download or did you have on your computer malwarebytes? Did you do FULL SCAN ?

Unfortunately with online playing of games > MW2 etc., and turning off the firewall does attract the big possibility of virus attacks on your system so easily, damn it!
That is why I was so specific in my questions above, if you have virus & the scans you did were not good enough, we may have to do more thoroughly.
So if you could tell me which programs you definitely used for AV scan & malware scan, then we can look at where next OK?
Also, have you updated all your drivers since your formatting? Checked that they are still up to date by looking in Device Manager?
I have an inkling that maybe a driver, graphic card, video card, could require updating? I could be wrong.
Is whatever AV, is that up to date?
Sorry lots of questions, just more we know, more we can analyse possibilities.
Thank's, hang in there!

The purpose of the forum is to help people like you, so don't worry there are many members here that will help solve your problems.
So we can discount virus/malware etc., as you have covered that one.
We have done clean boot, nothing/no change.
Ok could you run a System Files Check the link below will give you all the details, if in doubt ask us, if faulty files are found, run 3 times. Let us know the results.

Hello Kil

If you can I would like for you to go to the event viewer and look for the errors to see what errors are there for the last 2 weeks.

Click Start...
In the search box type: Event Viewer this should take you there and then go day by day and see if you can connect any of the errors to you problem and then upload the errors so we can see whats going on with your system.

Stay on the deck and come home safe..

Hi good day to you.
It's good that the sfc scan did some good. How many times did you do the scan?
We can sort old theme in time, I am more concerned in first making your computer stable.
An excellent suggestion by one of the forum experts Jonathan_King, he advised you download:-
WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics
Install WinDirStat, then we can have a listing of where your space is going OK?
So could you tell us exactly the state of your computer now after the sfc /scannow process?
Also the CHKDSK process?
Don't go heavy on the games yet until we know more. LoL!
You done good, well done! Please let us know of your processes & your progress.
Thank's
kesume
