Don't know what to do... Can't open to window

My computer keep stay on the loading page for 2 hours after I restart the computer, and I can't even open to savemode...
I did try used the system restore, but the result said " system restore failed due to an unspectifed error. The system cannot find the file specified. (0 x 80070002 )

have anyone can help me????
I really have no idea what I can do...

Hello Manckm,
Do you have a Vista disk ?, if you do, you can carry out a Repair Install.

I'm having a similar problem.
Last night I was very tired and rather than go through the usual shutting down process I simply pushed the power button on my laptop until it went off.
I started the laptop again today and was told to use the startup repair wizzard so I did so.
It has been about an hour now and windows still hasn't loaded. It just has the loading bar going on and on and on. Very frustrating! I am scared that my laptop isn't going to work again. What can I do??

Carry out the same repair as above, if you cant do that, boot in to safe mode and carry out a system restore/file check.

Thanks for your reply and I am sure that would have helped but now I am in an even worse scenario haha! I did a partial restore because the repair wizard wouldn't work and now I have lost so many files and programs and my computer has practically gone back to default settings. So many folders with photos and software are long gone.

I really wish I hadn't ignored that annoying popup that says create recovery media disc.

Have a look with Shadow Explorer ( ShadowExplorer.com - About ) whether you have any restore points (shadows) on C: - if yes, just navigate to your folders, right click on them and say "Export". Then you can bring them back to wherever you like.
For just checking the shadows, you can also go into elevated Command Prompt and type VSSADMIN LIST SHADOWS. They are dated.
