Installation package contain latest stacks?

Hey there everyone,
I have always installed my Antivirus software then let it update, but when you dont want/cant connect to the internet, does the installation contain the latest stack, or group of keys the software uses to identify infections?

Hi Ben, I know Avast in the past always kept there installers downloads definitions up to date in between builds.
On occassion i have run K.I.S. trial version and have had to update definitions right back to the release date of the build.

I wish all software was like that. It would be much more simple.

The other good thing if your already infected is during installation it gives you the option to run a "Boot Time Scan" upon restart

This option will scan all your hard disks before Windows OS loads probably best explained by the attached pic :)
