What YouTube needs...

I do not like YouTube. It needs more child protection from nasty stuff, like horror films. R rated films, 18+ films, so much more. If only this movie haden't existed:

So my idea is that when someone submits a video, it is moderated. The moderators put the video into content groups, so Mature Subject Matter, Films rated 18+, Sex, such and such.

We need an age though, to restrict the people who are young, like me. I'm 11.

So give me your idea on what age people should be restricted from such videos if they are under that age.

One more thing, once this update, if it is ideal and the YouTube company do it, everyone has to enter their true birthday for good. I am actully quite suprised that my alternative account to PeterKaneva111 isn't banned because of age.

To watch videos flagged by youtube community, you have to have an account and that account has to be over 18.
i used to have an account that said i was over 18, i deleted it and started again with an account that has my real age; 15.

when i did this i noticed that i could not view flagged videos, like episodes of the microwave show that have been flagged because they have fire.

without an account you cant view flagged videos anyways.

By lieing on your age, you are the one causing issues, and if you can control your actions, than you shouldn't be allowed to use the internet by yourself.

I only created an account that said i was over 18 because it was a kind of family account that never got used as a family account...
The YouTube community is there to keep videos in the right age range.
You have to be over 13 to create an account on YouTube, so you are lieing there...

*sigh*, I have Asperger Syndrome and I get the urge in the lower part that must not be named. Then maybe YouTube should prevent people from changing their age, I mean, YouTube dosen't seem to have a god damn Age policy invaded by the FREAKING COPPA ORGANIZATION.


What I watched was very disturbing.

The first video I watched about the movie I said above is when a woman is shot by toy solidiers.

The second video is when this woaman is attacked by a group of dolls, and then leaps into the window.

The worst of all, the third. A woman, yet again, has her face smashed into a wall, her nose broken and her lips split.


I asked my Dad to block YouTube, so I could never see those videos again, especially the 3rd one.



And now I have another problem, I'm probably about to get banned just because of my age. Jeez, can't you just wait 'till 2012? That's when I'll be 13.

If your YouTube channel is saying your 18/19/20, then you should really think about starting a new one with your real age so you won't be able to watch them videos again...

Seriously, your parents might need to step up and find you other places to go. You are sorta on the young side to be allowed to use Youtube, or other simular websites.

Technology is advancing at a rate that anyone can use it, but that doersn't mean that they should. Youtube has implemented an age policey, but saddly you circumvented it, and now you found out why they want folks over 13.

I have parental controls blocking YouTube. I want to be able to never see those videos again.


Going slightly off topic, it's like the scene in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, where Ginny hides the HBP's spellbook in the room of requirement where no one can find it. Ever. Again.


That needs to happen to all the god damn horror films that I do NOT want to see.

All im saying is if you don't want to see the videos, delete your account that says your 18/19/20 and start a new one that says your 11!
You won't be able to watch the videos then, simples!

Well, I don't want to risk getting banned from the forum if I change my age to 11 on the forum, so, YouTube.

Okay, you can't actually change your age on YouTube.
When i done my YT it was connected with my GMail, so i had to disconnect them, and i deleted all my videos.

I then deleted the account and made a new one with my real age, and everything else that was real, and linked my GMail and YT together again...
Easy, but just be careful you don't delete your GMail (if you have it* when you delete you YouTube account.
