Connected to secured network but not the internet

I have a great secured wireless connection that works with all of computers in the house except my laptop it says "connected" but there is no internet connection the two computers light up but it doesn't have the blue ball in the middle..what is the problem please help.

Hello monmill. A most frequent cause of blocking Internet access is Anti-Virus / Firewall / Spam Blocking software that has blocked Internet access for security reasons. One way to test this idea is to turn it all off temporarily to see if access is restored. Then configure the security software to allow access to the Internet.

Have you tried it unencrypted? Perhaps your router is using en encryption type not supported by your laptop. Did you make sure that the encryption settings match?
