re-installed vista to factory settings, wont start keeps rebooting

HELP! used installation disc and to factory settings. message: windows could not complete installation. to install windows on this computer restart the installation. I've tried the MMC and I have no local users and groups. And the msoobe creat a account and I did. And secpol.msc is not recognized as an internal or external command. I don't have internet access. I think is because missing drivers to: ethernet, network, video controllers. can anyone help me, I'm going insane. thanks Alicia

How do I load missing drivers without internet

I'm missing drivers for: ethermet controller, network controller and video controller.
I researched the drivers I need and downloaded them on a cd, but I'm unable to install them.
Because windows vista keeps rebooting (loop) thing. If I had internet I could update vista, and the drivers. I really don't know what to do? I've tried everything I found on the internet forums.
I guess it is time to take it in to a computer shop and have it repaired. Does anyone have the answer to my nightmare?

I downloaded the missing drivers on a cd and tried to run them, but nothing happened.
I also made a windows 7 repair disc off my other computer and when running it the boot manager
showed repair windows. That was the only time it gives the option to repair in the boot manager.
I also downloaded the service pack 2 but that wouldn't run.

You can't use a windows 7 repair disk on Vista. Something might be wrong with your installation media. I suggest that you post a request in this thread for a download link for the Vista ISO that a fellow member has online. Vista ISO download
