Solved fujitsu esprimo d9510 vista ultimate x86 interrupts using 50%cpu after like 10 15 mins idle

Hi stvpls:

Ndis.sys is a Windows system file related to Network Driver Interface System (NDIS) and is part of the interface to your network interface card (NIC) (also called your network adapter or Ethernet card). As for STHall.sys, do you have a Windows service named something like ST Screen Detection Service, and if so is it automatically started at boot-up? Can you find this STHall.sys file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\STHall.sys? If so, right click and select Properties and see if you can find any information on the the current file version and name of the manufacturer.

Just an FYI that I used the "Browse for Product" feature on Fujitsu support site <here> (Continental Europe / English; if you prefer, Fujitso's Italian support site is located <here>) and they still have Vista-compatible certified drivers and BIOS updates available for download for the ESPRIMO Mobile D9510. Unfortunately, most of those drivers date back to 2008 or 2009. Fujitsu's automated DeskUpdate utility mentioned on that Driver tab is only available for Win 7 and higher.

In addition to patching your Vista SP2 OS, it might also be helpful if you posted a snapshot of your system software and hardware using Piriform's free Speccy utility so we have some idea of the current state of your drivers. After installation launch Speccy and allow it to collect information about your system, then go to File | Publish Snapshot and copy and paste the URL this generates (e.g., http: // speccy.piriform.com/results/xxx... as shown in the image below ) in your next reply.

If you don't want to install Speccy on your system you can download the zipped file for Speccy Portable (currently spsetup132.zip) <here> from the Softpedia site and save it to a USB thumb drive (note that Piriform removed the portable build of Speccy from their official builds page at https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy/builds a few months ago), unzip the .ZIP file, and run the executable (Speccy.exe for 32-bit OSs; Speccy64.exe for 64-bit OSs) from the thumb drive.

If you'd like to see a sample Speccy snapshot, I published one a few months ago for my own 32-bit Vista SP2 laptop at http://speccy.piriform.com/results/z2qoNAESuxQeYKCK2QGx3or.

Installation Date: 17/03/2008 (i.e. no actual hands-on experience reinstalling Vista)
Windows Defender: Enabled (Why? You haven't updated it since 07/04/2019 Definition 1.291.1271.0)
Internet Explorer Version: 9.0.8112.16421 (Hasn't been patched in years, so hope you never use it)
Running: Terminal Services (see Mitigations at CVE-2019-0708 since you rejected KB4499180)
Stopped Apple Mobile Device (iTunes versions old enough for Vista can no longer even sign in)

A large majority is just Windows update history, which might be all that Imacri really wants to see. No list of installed programs.
you wont agree with me but i use as main and prefer ie over other browsers :P, the only reason i have other browsers installed is to open sites that wont open in ie 9 or 8 in my xp machines like this forum wich opens up messed up.

In that case, stvpls should start a thread in the Windows Updates forum. One thing stvpls has mentioned elsewhere is that his IE9 has TLS 1.1 and 1.2 enabled. (Congratulations stvpls, but Imacri may have something to say about that I'm afraid.)
i may make a thread in future about wupdate but idk why he is so interested in windows update, my main concern is to solve this problem.

UPDATE: i reinstalled the shock sensor driver from fujitsu, it no longer shows high usage in latency mon but at startup i always get a error handle message, but if possible i will like to find a way to make that message disappear, after that i discovered that the high ndis.sys is caused by the wlancard wich i reinstalled with the right driver and now is much better, still shows red characters but it doesnt use high cpu anymore, i will see if will go up to 50 again
edit i disabled st microtronics from startup so the error doesnt appear

Congratulations stvpls! It sounds like you have solved the problem on your own! :)
here it is, the sthall drivers comes from st microelectronics, i cant find it in the services but is the driver folder like you said
A little late, but in your Speccy snapshot under Device Tree is listed ST Micro ScreenDetection Sensor Driver. (I wonder why Security Center shows Antivirus: Disabled.)
you wont agree with me but i use [IE9] as main and prefer ie over other browsers :P, the only reason i have other browsers installed is to open sites that wont open in ie 9 or 8 in my xp machines like this forum wich opens up messed up.
With TLS 1.2 enabled and with a cumulative security update much more recent than the last one that Imacri installed, IE9 is probably the most secure browser for Windows Vista! Too bad there are many websites that it can't render properly (including Vista Forums), and it can't play YouTube videos. Here's my IE9 version:

IE9 Version.JPG

(In case anyone wonders, KB4507434 did not change my OS build to 6003: It is merely a patch for the browser.)

i may make a thread in future about wupdate but idk why he is so interested in windows update, my main concern is to solve this problem.

yea it is not that bad as you say, mabye you mean the main like the google ones and others big companies online "services" but even some new (crappy to me) websites work perfect in ie 9, i even enabled tls 1.1 and 1.2 on ie8 on xp
now IE9 its able to open 80% websites and load correctly about 60% of them and like half of the sites that wont load correctly are still functional

Congratulations again stvpls! Firefox 52.9.0 was already a year old when Microsoft issued that security update. (I have not tried any IE9 security updates more recent than that because they only have sha256 signatures, which might require more extensive patching of Windows 6.0 itself.) If you should find that the patch causes an issue, you could of course go to Installed Updates and uninstall it. One last thing about IE9: I would recommend disabling SSL and even TLS 1.0 for better security.

I hope that OP stvpls won't mind, but the last few posts of this thread were the only discussion of Internet Explorer 9 security in a very long time, and there is bad news: CVE-2020-0674 | Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability. Patching IE 9 is only possible for organizations with ESU for Server 2008, and unfortunately the system file checker dislikes Microsoft's suggested workaround (which I cannot recommend).
