Nvidia is probably the top GPU maker on the block these days, with ATI following in second place. Some may argue that ATI is better, but its just because they likely have ATI cards in their PCs. ATI cards for which they likely paid a lot of doe for, and so naturally they are going root for their card's brand. Even though deep down inside......they know it to be true, that Nvidia is better,,, and better through & through!
WHAT's IN YOURRR PC??? (like that commercial) hehe.
Just do not believe the people who will try and try to lead you away from Nvidia. For they are false in their words......and their words are not of GOD. They are in essence..... decieving workers of evil, whom (frankly) only wish to destroy the rightous forces of Nvidia. Their jelousy doeth rageth hot inside their hearts! They are not nice, no! Meanies is what they are!
So dont listen to them!!!!
ATI is not evil, haha! That is just silly!
But it is just those who preach unto people, saying "low, ATI is better!"..... BETTER???.... Than the all mighty Nvidia?? HAHA! I am telling ya, they are down right wrong, and indeed.......evil.
SO BEWARE! BE NOT DECIEVED.............and most of all.........be silly at times in life. Like I am silly now! Its fun. SILLY!
But seriously, Nvidia is indeed the high and mighty ruler of computer graphics cards, for this moment in time. And if this helps you any......good.
But if you buy into the lie......and then go buy an ATI........I will sigh and wonder why?
OK....(serious mode) As far as how to buy or what to buy, specifically regarding the actual card model itself per say? Its very simple. You pay more.......you get more.
More doe......more show!
However, for under a hundred bucks you can get yourself a jim-dandy of a good card which will suit most people's needs o' plenty.
That is especially if you like "eye candy" visuals and pretty graphics that dazzle the eyes. It never hurts to have a 'semi powerful' graphics card......and they do help in many ways as far as running Vista smoothly, and helping to free up your CPU a bit by taking much of the work load and allowing the CPU to use its resources on other things, which of course makes for a faster more efficient PC altogether! Now isnt that a hum dinger of a deal?
Yep......you probably arent a gamer so no need to spend a whole lot on a good "Nvidia" GPU........but getting a DECENT one......like in the 60- 100 dollor range is a wise investment which will add much to your Computer's personality and charisma! My PC has a very colorful and charming personality! Thanks mostly to an Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT.
Oh, and if you do get a Geforce 9 series card or something like that, be sure to learn how to "tweak" the settings.........such as the color, "vibrance"= a most lovely feature..and contrast setting is very important. If you are into pretty pictures and desktop wallpapers that jump right out at you with dazzling vibrant color that looks very real and bright, then you must learn your GPU settings well.....which is really not hard to learn for anyone.
Also.......stick to the NATIVE resolution which means your monitor's own native screen format.......pixel per pixel. DVI always! Always go with digital DVI connections over VGA anolog. And never scale again! Meaning always stay with your native rez. Its where your monitor came from, and so allow it to speak its own native language! And you shall see a better picture!
I like helping people when I can. Not saying this has probably been incredibly helpful to you.........but maybe a little. That is my hope.
May your screen have a lovely scene, with a lean mean graphics machine!
I wrote this because its late and I am bored........which explains why its a bit wacky!
Goodnight! And to all a good night!
