32 bit programs with problems with Open/Save As

Hello,

I just installed .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Spanish on top and it is the same , nothing has changed... I noticed now that also there is installed in my pc a .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 language package (Spanish), but also installed from before .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, .NET Framework 4 Extended, .NET Framework 4 Client Profile language package Spanish and .NET Framework 4 Extended language package Spanish....

So, in summary, right now I can see two .NET 3.5 SP1 and four .NET 4 packages installed concurrently in my system, might this be a problem?

The first one should register, and can you please give me the error received on the second one. I do not know if the commands will be different in Spanish???

That is exactly what they both should do. I assume that it is still not working? Time to think of something else!

Welcome,

As a suggestion, why not try a system restore, to before you removed the programs. Then we can all work together and try to remove them without the subsequent problems.

I see that that log is quite messy! However, when you look closely, the only corrupt file recorded in the top section in settings.ini of the Windows Sidebar. If you look closely at the timings, you will notice that it is showing up that many times only because the scan has been run quite a few times, and is only one small corruption showing up multiple times per scan, many scans.

Settings.ini is a corruption to ignore. When you install new apps on the Windows Sidebar, this is added to settings.ini, making the size and hash different from the Windows default, the one stored in the store. Therefore, settings.ini is not a true corruption, only a false positive in the loosest possible sense of the meaning, and can safely be ignored.

The comdlg32.dll corruption is only showing up because you replaced your file with my file. It is not the cause of the original problem. Since this has not fixed the problem, once we have fixed the original issue, we will restore your original file, removing this error. For the time being, forget about this error.

Unfortunately, no other piece of evidence has come to light, meaning we are once again without a lead as to why this tricky problem is happening.
