Hi there,
Not sure if I should be posting here, but I could sure use a hand in fixing my pc, i am finding a couple issues.

1. My computer does not remeber any web-site passwords for Facebook, or forum's that I subscribe to. I check mark remember me on the next login, but my on my next log-in maybe later in the day, I have to re-enter my login and password again.

2. when my laptop shuts down it make that shut downjiggle music, and I guess it does shut down, but maybe 1/2 hr later, and no-ones touched my laptop it makes that shut down jiggle again. Ghosts or what? Maybe I have a virus on my laptop, what do you guys think? Is my laptop possesed?

I think both problems might be re-lated somehow, hopefully someone here can assist, thank you for your time in reading this...

and for any assistance you can provide,

1. Maybe you do not allow cookies from your browser. The logon info is usually stored in a cookie. Check in your cookie folder whether said websites are there.
2. As zigzag says, it could be the web waking your system. Go into Power Management of your Network Adaptor (in Device Manager) and uncheck "Wake on ..." - or something like that.

Sorry not sure where the cookie folder is:
But Can I just go to tools
internet options
click on Privacy tab
then sites
adding in all the web-sites I would like access too?
Seems a little much...

Are you shutting down or putting your laptop to sleep?

yes, I think it's going to sleep all I do is close my laptop screen shut, and then i guess it goes to sleep.

a minute or so later the shut down jiggle happens, and then a 1/2 hour later it replays the jiggle, and then some time later it plays the jiggle again.

no sure if it ever 1/2 hr but I have heard the jiggle a few times. Do you think it has to do with sleep modes, or could i have possibly picked up a virus?

Done, but after my laptop goes to sleep, when I come back to it, the passwords are not remembered.
