ACHI post-install drivers?

I've just installed vista on my laptop, and now I want to install SATA drivers on it instead of having my computer forever emulate an IDE drive. what should I do now? (Couldn't find much info on what to do)

If you have a SATA hard drive (or other SATA drives installed) then, obviously, the SATA driver is installed.
