Adjusting screen setting for poor eyes

My eyes are getting pretty old but I spend a lot of time on the computer. I am having trouble seeing the small fonts on my mail, facebook etc. When I go to make it bigger by right clicking on my desktop, selecting personalize, display settings... but every setting I use distorts the picture. What is a good setting for people who need a little bit bigger writing? Or is there a better way?

Most browsers have either a style sheet, or there may be settings in the browser for minimum font size.

Most editors you can change the font which includes setting the size. Windows pretty much needs to have a font size of 8 or 9. Anything larger and stuff goes weird.

Whichever app you want to change I would search AppName font size
and you should get a page that shows how to adjust the setting.

You can also try the bottom right of IE you will see some small numbers and a percentage sign. Left click on the small down arrow and then custom.

Good luck

I tried them all and so far Yard Dog's idea is best for me. I don't use IE and I need it for everything not just my browser. I use Firefox and I use Control and the mouse scroll but it doesn't work well and goes crazy.

I also went on the left side of the display settings to change font size. I set it at 125 and it seems good. But I may use all your ideas if this doesn't work out.

i REALLY APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU ANSWERING and I am saving all your answers to try later to see which works best.
