Adjusting Video Brightness

Hey everyone,

If I'm running media center in a window, is there a way to adjust the brightness of the video in the window without changing the brightness of the entire monitor?

Thanks but no cigar, I want to adjust the window when watching tv. The options suggested in the ehow tutorial are not present and the settings option only tells how to adjust for the entire monitor not just the media center window.

I like the name - one of my all-time favorites.

I'm not sure if this will help (or if it is what you've already tried - though it is supposed to apply to the video window and not the entire monitor), but try the following:

1. Open Microsoft Media Player (WMP)
2. Right click on the title bar of the window or the Now Playing tab
3. From the context menu, select View
4. Select Enhancements
5. Make sure that Show Enhancements is selected
6. Click Video Settings

The brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation slidebars will now appear. Tweak away.
