Hello, I am running windows vista home addition and all of a sudden I have no rights to update my anti-virus, uninstall\install software\or do a windows update, it just says access denied or you do not have enough priviledges please contact your administrator.
I booted into Safe mode, logged in with the admin account to take a look at my regular account and it does say that both accounts on the computer are administrator accounts, so I am not sure why admin rights are not working. I tried creating a new admin account and rebooted, logged into the new admin account and the newly created admin account doesn't have any rights either. I am not sure what else I can try or even how this happened because I have had this computer for over 6 months and have always had admin rights, no one else uses this computer so I know someone did not change these settings.
Any one have any other suggestions? Greatly appreiciated.
