Alt+F10 NOT WORKING????

Hi everyone

I've had this toshiba laptop with vista on it for about 3 yrs now. I want to take it back to the factory state. At the start when i bought it new Alt+F10 key would work and i used it. But about a year ago around 40GB data including videos and songs just disappeared. i searched for it but no use. funny thing is this that the hard drive still says that THAT 40GB space is used up.

And the same thing happened last night. Around 12 more films just ''disappeared'' again. Since this happened the first time, Alt+F10 does NOTHING at all. I can't find acer programs when i'm in the OS as well. There's a folder on Vista C: but it's empty. I just want to clean up everything.

Any suggestions???

The alt f10 if probably corrupt. It may be there but cannot be accessed.
This is what I would do

Make a complete anti virus scan. Download and make a full scan with malwarebytes. It these are negative, and I think that they will be, download and use shadow explorer to get your currently lost information back.

I do not think that the events are related.
