Hello

I addition to the problems I sent before, I can't install any Anti-Virus. For ex., I tried McCAFEE Total Protection 2008 and 2009 and Kaspersky 2009. The problem is when I install anyone of them, I can no more have Internet connection. HOw can I solve it?

You probably have a (buggy) leftover driver from something else, since multiple security suites are affected with the same symptom. Try removing any other security utilities you may have installed.

Hi newtonx,
Do you mean that you are not able to install the Anti-Virus software or your not able to go online after installing these software - If you are able to install the software and not able to go online try in safe mode with networking - if it works fine then check the firewall settings of the Anti-virus that you are installing --

My Computer

I don't have any anti-virus installed.

When I install the anti-virus, I can't go online. If I unistalled it, I can connect with the Internet.

I will check the safe mode and tell you what happens after that.

Try one of the free ones online....AVG or Avast. I prefer AVG myself and have used it since I've had Vista, over a year now.

Depending on the vulnerable files you have on your PC, you may or may not want to install the whole suite of MacAffe or Norton, etc as they will always give you more problems than solution... more so if you are not a PC guru.

I don't really have anything in my pc that I relish or want to secure so much so, I only install a regular Anti Virus (Avast is what I use, hate McAffe or Norton because they are resource hoggers). I do this because everytime I install a suite (firewall, A.V., A.S., etc, etc), I end up just like you... extremely upset and Internet-Less :(
