It’s good to hear from you again stvpls. What an ambitious question! Even if installation was possible (I haven’t tried), the real question is whether the new Edge could work on Vista. The answer must be no, since Edge is now a Chromium fork and Chromium does not support Vista (unless someone at Microsoft devoted great efforts to backporting, but why would they do that?). As far as the Chromium Project is concerned, support for Windows XP and Vista was a “bug” that they “fixed” four years ago (see my old post).

If you had asked a more down-to-earth question such as, “What was the most modern non-Chinese Chromium-based browser that supported Vista?” then I might suggest the Russian browser Yandex 17.4.1 (a 2017 version forked from Chromium 57 with backporting for XP/Vista). I have not tried any of the Chinese backports, and don’t intend to.

so there is no way, i thought that because it was on w7 could be on vista, such a shame because its a very good browser and not so heavy on resources, so good it made me almost switch to it from ie11 wich now i use way less. at least there is mypal and ie with tls stuff enabled.
