anybody know how to make an account on xp forums?

do you know of any other forums? tried toms hardware but it looks like i got banned for smarting off to admin who was completely rude to me even tho i was in the right to do so. guess the power went to his head.

Try Bleeping Computer's Windows XP Home and Professional forum. Be sure to read their Forum Rules and Posting Guidelines, which states in part:

I couldn't find an option to signup. I'm not familiar with the site however I do see a contact us option. My digital forums life has an "XP / older OS" forum.

Sorry, but I can no longer post anything at MSFN using my iPhone (which is all I use these days), although I can sign in and “react” to the posts of other members. I’m sure it was a forum software update, since I was able to post using my iPhone a few years ago. Imacri might be able to help you if still using Windows 10 (or 11). Here’s a thread in which Imacri discussed an email issue with Tripredacus back in August 2022: Forum registration with Hotmail account?

It was mentioned that Tripredacus also has an account at Reboot.pro in a 2024 thread (A new (prospective) member reporting issues in registering), so you might try to create an account there.

At MSFN, I found a "register" option. It says Download and then download ACE Browser. However, below all that it says "Registration is now disabled"

Yeah if you add /register after board in the url it returns that registration is disabled so appears that we now have our answer.

It appears to be something broken on the server end. The contact us is showing the same error. The admins haven't logged in since 2024 or earlier so it seems to be abandoned by them. Even the mod hasn't posted since June. It looks a lot like the vista, 7, etc forums but I can't confirm that it's the same owners. You might have to look for another forum.

They also killed off their Vista and Windows 8 Forums completely some years ago.

There admin Ian tried to sell off many of his forums before disappearing in late 2023. I’ve just noticed one of his forums still has active admins, and they might be in charge of the rest as well. It could be worth reaching out to them to fix the captcha keys on the XP forum registration if anyone’s interested (I'm not) - www.laptop-forums.com
