Storage controller > AS9L1LPY IDE CONTROLLER
Google results: NONE
Device Manager information: Pretty much nothing, not an update either. (but device manager never finds updates >.>)
Does anyone have a clue what this is for and how I can update it (if possible)?

Please post a picture of the device manager screen, as I too can find nothing on this item.

Have you installed any DVD/CD simulation/ emulation software?

May I suggest, based upon my work with BSODs, when something cannot be found with Google, 90% of the time its a name changing virus. Please run a full anti virus scan, Download and make a full scan with malwarebytes. Be sure to update them first.
Please answer Lottiemansions question. The scans my be negative.

I restarted my computer and it had changed name to something else.
XXXXXXXX IDE CONTROLLER.

I just uninstalled the driver becuase I felt like it, I am not afraid to break it.
So therefore I have no pictures, silly me :(
Not sure if I should restart it now tho...


I do think it is a virus too, since I got one yesterday...
Driver gone, virus gone.
