bad_pool_caller

Try connecting to the internet with the wireless connection, if it blue screens then we know its something to do with the wireless side, maybe the driver, but we are getting ahead of ourselves here, lets try the wireless connection first.

OK, so the problem seems to be in the wireless/router side.
You can try F8/F2 on startup, not sure what it will be on yours, and choose Most recent config that worked.
If that does not do it, i would start by un-installing and re-installing all the wireless software. Go to the makers site and see if there are any newer drivers, chipset, MB, wireless, if there is, then download them and try it.

Okay, used F8 and selected the last good config. System is set to go online automatically via wireless and did, BUT the pointer is locked up in the middle of the screen . . .

Did you get any software or drivers with the new mouse ?, if so, re-install drivers, or, you could try unplugging the mouse, reboot and plug it back in.

Didn't get software with mouse, it's just a USB plug-in and go type. When I plugged it in, and opened browser, system didn't automatically go online, and blue screen came up with this message now: Driver_IRQL_Less_Or_Equal

At the bottom of this message, under Technical information: there is this

STOP: 0X000000D1 (blah, blah, blah)

with this I haven't seen before:
tcpip.sys - Address 87E86BCB base at 87E44000. DateStamp 4a856b4a

I have to go now, but please know how much I greatly appreciate you being there all day long for me. I won't be back until tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully you'll be around and still interested in resolving my pitiful situation. Thank you so much!

Look at this tutorial on how to use the Driver Verifier Manager, if the above does not work, then this may solve the problem.

How to identify a buggy device driver on Windows Vista | Vista Rewired

I would think it has to be either the mouse driver, or the network driver, because it only happens when you connect to the internet.

Also, make sure that all of AVG is un-installed. (you will have to do this after it is fixed).

Is There an Un-install Utility?

Unfortunately, at this time Grisoft, the maker of AVG, does not have an un-install utility for AVG. The recommended procedure is a time consuming one. You must download the latest version of AVG from the website, and then run it.

1) Click on the following link and download AVG to your desktop

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0

2) Double-click on the downloaded file to run it
3) AVG will present you with three options to choose from. Choose the Un-install option to completely un-install AVG

Add/Remove Components - choose if you want to add/remove some components or re-install the entire AVG program
Repair installation - this option repairs or re-installs missing or damaged components of AVG
Un-install - this option removes the AVG program from your PC

4) Once the un-install has completed, restart your computer. You can then proceed to install another antivirus or install AVG again.

I've been gone from here for a week or so, BUT haven't dealt with my computer problems YET, because I simply haven't felt like dealing with them . . . I'll try to get back to where we left off soon, to follow your latest suggestions, and let you know how it goes. Until then, BREAST Wishes For A Happy New REAR!
