Anyone tried to buy anything from overseas through Best Buy?
How did you get past the phone number not being excepted?
They have a thing to get past the address but not the phone number
Never had so much trouble buying things anywhere else
Trying to buy a laptop for miles ahead
I'll get there in the end miles, just don't hold your breath.

Best Buy USA? The phone numbers are 10 digits: 3 for the area code then 3 and 4 for the number, so try lopping off the first few digits...just a thought as I've never bought anything from them anyway.

Yeah, I hate it when tangled in the assumptions of the web form design. Could be a real morass. The web software will probably try to match up my phone number with your address or something weird. But if it takes a while maybe the W8 will have the SP 1 already on? :)

It might be easier to go through some intermediary. But I'll leave it to your judgement how to proceed. It's amazing to me such a large city as Miami has so few accessible major stores if one doesn't have a car. It's almost like living in the burbs. ( edit: or maybe it's old hat to those from here who know the bus routes. Trying to figure it out only with Google Maps is murder though. )

It just dawned on me - I don't think Best Buy ships internationally. There are numerous articles in Google mentioning problems with having their merchandise shipped by 3rd party carriers (such as BongoUS) etc.

I got it and I'm on now, Thank you so much for your generous gift. As it tuns out, Monday the 14th is my birthday!! I could not ask for a nicer gift!! :) Turns out the Best Buy is easy walking distance from the train station.

I appreciate the kind words. Tomorrow I should pick up a wired USB keyboard. Then I can touch type well enough to start on some new apps. Also I have to work on new web site created by another friend. When something is on it I'll post the URL. I also will mirror to ILF's page if he wishes to host 'em.

It's way more fun being in McDonalds with this baby rockin' :)

I dont shop best buy at all. paying full retail for things is not my idea of a "best buy"
